My views

I personally believed gun rights should be upheld. A person should be able to protect themselves from the criminals. The criminals will continue to have guns illegally, while the victims will be defenseless. A lot of these shootings happen because the shooter or attackers knows the victims are defenseless.

Gun Control has been a term that has came up in many discussions in the last few decades. The main reasoning is gun violence.Gun control is "a broad term that covers any sort of restriction on what kinds of firearms can be sold and bought, who can possess or sell them, where and how they can be stored or carried, what duties a seller has to vet a buyer, and what obligations both the buyer and the seller have to report transactions to the government". Simply put, gun control is strict laws to make it harder to get guns to decrease gun violence. The two political parties are fighting toward opposite sides. Different uses for Guns

Guns have many uses other than protection, like hunting, sport, and collectables. Controlling these guns would not only leave victims defenseless, but take away from the law abidding citizens using the guns for sport.
